The Junior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth daily accounting operations, and supporting overall financial reporting and efficiency. This position requires meticulous diligence, efficient data processing, and adherence to confidentiality standards for both business and personal records. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance and Accounting team and is relied upon as a vital and integral part of the department. The ideal candidate has two or more years of experience in accounting, strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy, basic knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their career in accounting and finance.

As our Junior Accountant, you will:

  • Support management of accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, customer payments, and outreach to address open invoices and balances.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Account Managers, Sales) to resolve invoicing questions and ensure smooth communication.
  • Maintain the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries and other transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency in record keeping.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities as required.
  • Participate in special projects, audits, and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
  • Provide additional team support and take on responsibilities as required.

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business, finance, or accounting
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with basic accounting and financial practices
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems.
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment
