The Multimedia Team Lead leads a dynamic team of multimedia professionals in creating visually engaging and pedagogically sound content that supports our educational products. This role involves overseeing the production of video, audio, animation, and interactive media. The ideal candidate has a strong background in user experience, multimedia design and production, demonstrated leadership skills, and a passion for educational technology.
As our Multimedia Team Lead, you will perform the following roles and duties:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of permanent and freelance multimedia designers, video producers, graphic designers, and other specialists.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that promotes team growth and development.
- Conduct regular team check-ins, provide constructive feedback, set and achieve team-level goals, and support individuals to set and achieve their own performance goals.
Multimedia Production
- Establish style guides and visual prototypes for new clients, learning management systems, and tools, according to UX best practices.
- Set quality standards for multimedia learning products and services and support the team in achieving them.
- Stay up-to-date with educational media best practices and design trends.
- Work in collaboration with the graphic designers, video editors and course developers on cutting edge EdTech technologies.
- Build Prototypes with UI/UX elements, and style LMS platforms for partner use.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the learning technology Team Lead to ensure a seamless learning experience across e-Learning authoring tools and learning management systems.
- Collaborate with learning designers to create innovative and effective learning materials.
- Met tight deadlines when needed and work well under pressure
- Communicate with clients and partners, including university faculty and program directors, when the occasion arises.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 7+ years of relevant previous experience.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Experience in working within Figma and Adobe Suite.
- Experience with Articulate 360 and LMS platforms.
- Great UI/UX understanding and experience.
- Knowledge of video production and expertise is a bonus.
- A hunger to learn and grow professionally.
