Nexford University (NXU) is seeking innovative Associate Faculty members with expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Finance to support learners in courses related to these disciplines.
Artificial Intelligence Track
Associate Faculty will teach courses such as:
- Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning and Deep Learning
- Natural Language Processing
- AI Ethics and Governance
- Applied AI for Business
Qualifications for AI Faculty:
- Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 18 semester hours at the doctoral level in AI or related subjects
- 4+ years of industry experience in AI/ML applications, research, or development
- Experience teaching online at the graduate level
- Strong programming skills (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and familiarity with AI tools
Finance Track
Associate Faculty will teach courses such as:
- Corporate Finance
- Financial Modeling and Valuation
- Investment Analysis
- Global Financial Markets
- Risk Management and Financial Strategy
Qualifications for Finance Faculty:
- Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 18 semester hours at the doctoral level in Finance or related subjects
- 4+ years of professional experience in finance, investment, or corporate financial management
- Experience teaching online at the graduate level
- Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, FRM) preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage online courses through Canvas LMS and other innovative technology tools
- Interact with learners via discussion boards, chat, virtual office hours, live sessions, and email
- Teach and facilitate courses as designed, ensuring engaging and efficient delivery
- Provide personalized, substantive feedback on learner submissions within five (5) days
- Respond to learner emails and messages within 24 hours
- Mentor learners on course content and skill development, sharing professional insights and applications
- Post regular updates and announcements to support learner engagement
- Participate in NXU webinars, blogs, and marketing campaigns as applicable
- Provide feedback and recommendations on course content for continuous improvement
- Stay current in your academic discipline through research, conferences, and continuing education
- Participate in departmental and university activities as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience
- Doctoral degree required for teaching within Master’s programs; minimum of 18 semester credit hours in the specialty area
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably online
- Minimum of 4 years professional experience in the area of expertise
- Professional certifications (as applicable)
- Effective English communication skills for a global learner population
Preferences
- Experience with Competency-Based Education (CBE)
- 1+ years of online teaching experience
