About our Engineering Teams

At Instructure, engineering teams are small, agile, and product-focused. Each team owns a product or a meaningful part of a product end-to-end, from design and development to deployment and operations. Teams work closely with Product Managers, Designers, SRE, QA, and other engineers to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. Collaboration across time zones is part of everyday life. Teams regularly work with colleagues in the US and other global locations, so flexibility and strong communication are important.

What we work with

• Our core platform runs on modern cloud-native (AWS) technologies: EKS, ECS

• We implement AI features on top of AWS Bedrock

• Our main programming languages include: Ruby, JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js

• We care more about strong engineering fundamentals than specific stacks

What we are looking for

We are interested in hearing from people who:

• Have strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

• Enjoy working in end-to-end ownership of products and features

• Are comfortable in agile, fast-moving environments

• Can work independently and take responsibility for their work

• Fluent skills in AI development flows (Claude code)

• Like collaborating in cross-functional and international teams

• Care about building reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems with 50 million end users
