Position Summary:
As a Warehouse Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. This is a full-time position that involves a variety of tasks related to the shipping and receiving of merchandise, fulfilling orders, and maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. The right person will have strong past warehouse lead experience and understand the importance of clear communication, organization, and a positive team culture. You will be responsible for organizing and leading day-to-day warehouse activities and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision:
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff and seasonal workers on best practices for inventory systems, logistics, and safety protocols.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Help schedule tasks and delegate responsibilities to ensure all daily goals are met.
Shipping & Receiving:
  • Oversee the accurate and timely shipping and receiving of all program supplies, equipment, and merchandise.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented and processed.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight services to optimize logistics and cost-effectiveness.
Inventory Management:
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Utilize an inventory management system (familiarity with Salesforce is a plus) to track and forecast equipment and supply needs.
  • Implement quality control measures for all incoming and outgoing materials to maintain high standards.
Order Fulfillment:
  • Lead the team in pulling, packing, and fulfilling orders for various BAM! programs across the country.
  • Ensure all orders are packed accurately and securely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to understand program needs and shipping schedules.
Warehouse Organization & Safety:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping, and receiving procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and common shipping protocols (e.g., FedEx, UPS).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50-60 lbs and spend long periods on your feet.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus.
  • A passion for the mission of Brains & Motion Education is a definite plus!
Compensation: $25-$28/hour
Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00pm - 5:00pm
