The Professional Learning Facilitator, Math (Contractor) will deliver BetterLesson’s in-person math curriculum workshops and learning walks. This contract role will join a team of contractors who are successfully delivering in-person student-centered workshops and learning walks on the curriculum.

Here are some things you can expect to accomplish in this role:

Meet with educators in group settings and support them to successfully implement the math curriculum components (instructional routines, “five practices framework,” and Math Language Routines).
Draw from pre-designed workshops and learning walks, and existing BetterLesson resources and supports (instructional strategies, facilitation guides, product experts, certification courses, classes, etc.) to deliver engaging and impactful professional learning experiences that support the adoption and implementation of the math curriculum.
Utilize your knowledge of the best practices in math facilitation and student-centered pedagogy to build and refine educators' knowledge of the curriculum, support them to make informed decisions around student learning progress, and to build their own student-centered math literacy skills.
Create safe, collaborative, and productive learning environments for educators to reflect on their practice and identify areas of growth.

About You:

(Required) 3+ years experience with the Illustrative Mathematics K-12 Math curriculum OR Open Up Resources K-12 Math curriculum.
(Required) Ability to travel during the school year during school hours.
(Required) You live in Ohio.
(Preferred) 3+ years as a principal or curriculum director.
You love to deliver professional learning workshops and learning walks in-person.
You have successfully implemented one or more of the curricula BetterLesson supports or have supported educators in a district initiative to implement the curriculum.
Desire to travel in-person at least twice a month.
You are passionate about supporting educators to successfully implement math curriculum.
You are committed to supporting educators in creating learning environments that are diverse, inclusive, and equitable.

We Can Offer You:

The opportunity to facilitate pre-designed in-person workshops and learning walks on the math curriculum to improve outcomes for teachers and students.
Occasional opportunities to co-facilitate in-person workshops and learning walks with other experienced educators.
A contract to deliver in-person workshops and learning walks with possible renewal and/or expansion the following contract year.
$800 per in-person workshop and learning walk with travel, lodging, and meals reimbursed.
There is no guarantee of hours or the number of workshops or learning walks available.
